Some love stories begin with a swipe, a setup, or a first date. Kae and Peter’s story began years before either of them knew it.
They attended the same high school. They both went on to attend the University of Maryland. They shared places, experiences, and countless opportunities to meet, yet somehow their paths never truly crossed.
Life had other plans.
Over the years, both Kae and Peter moved around the world, building careers, collecting experiences, and embracing every adventure that came their way. Then, in a twist that feels straight out of a movie, they unexpectedly ran into one another in North Carolina.
What could have easily been another passing moment became the beginning of something extraordinary.
If you’ve spent even a few minutes around Kae and Peter, it’s impossible not to notice how perfectly they fit together. They’re witty, adventurous, endlessly fun, and completely themselves. They don’t take life too seriously, but they deeply value the people and experiences that matter most.
Their Baltimore elopement reflected exactly that.
Rather than planning a large traditional wedding, they chose an intimate day filled with meaningful locations, their closest friends and family, and plenty of opportunities to simply enjoy being together.

The day started where some of the most important parts of their life happen every day: at home.
Nestled in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood, Kae and Peter welcomed me into the place they share with their beloved dogs. Before any ceremony, before any official paperwork, the morning was spent enjoying the simple moments together.
Their dogs naturally stole the spotlight more than once, making for some of my favorite images of the entire day.
There’s something incredibly special about photographing couples in their own space. The walls hold memories, the routines are familiar, and everyone can relax. Instead of rushing from location to location, Kae and Peter were able to begin their wedding day exactly as they wanted—comfortable, happy, and surrounded by the things they love most.

From Canton, we headed into one of Baltimore’s most iconic neighborhoods: Fells Point.
For couples planning a Baltimore elopement, it’s hard to imagine a better location. Cobblestone streets, waterfront views, historic architecture, and endless charm create a backdrop that feels timeless while still uniquely Baltimore.
As we wandered through the neighborhood, Kae and Peter laughed their way down the streets, stopping occasionally for portraits but spending most of the time simply enjoying one another’s company.
Their chemistry made my job easy.
The best wedding photos rarely come from perfect posing. They come from genuine connection, and these two have plenty of it. Whether they were sharing inside jokes, reminiscing about their unlikely journey together, or admiring the harbor views, every moment felt natural and authentic.

One of the things I loved most about their wedding day was how intentionally they built in moments to simply experience it.
Before heading to the courthouse, we stopped at Barcocina along the waterfront.
Instead of rushing through a packed timeline, they took a moment to enjoy the atmosphere, grab a drink, and soak in the fact that they were about to become husband and wife.
These quieter moments often become some of the most memorable parts of a wedding day. They give couples the opportunity to pause, breathe, and appreciate everything happening around them.

The heart of the day took place at the Baltimore courthouse, where Kae and Peter exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends.
There was no elaborate production. No distractions.
Just two people making a commitment after years of life’s twists and turns had finally brought them together.
The ceremony was emotional, joyful, and deeply personal. Every person present had played a role in their journey, making the celebration feel intimate in all the best ways.
As courthouse weddings continue to grow in popularity, Kae and Peter’s day serves as a perfect reminder that meaningful doesn’t have to mean complicated.

Following the ceremony, everyone gathered at a nearby park for family portraits.
One of the beautiful things about an elopement-style wedding is the flexibility it creates. Without the pressure of a large venue schedule, there was time to celebrate with family, capture portraits, and simply enjoy being together.
The atmosphere was relaxed, full of laughter, and a reflection of the close-knit relationships that have supported Kae and Peter throughout their journey.

To end the day, we visited one of Baltimore’s most stunning locations for wedding photography: The Walters Art Museum.
The elegant architecture provided a dramatic contrast to the historic streets of Fells Point and the casual moments spent at home earlier in the day.
As the museum’s grand staircases and timeless interiors surrounded them, Kae and Peter effortlessly stepped into the final chapter of their wedding day.
The result was a collection of portraits that felt both sophisticated and deeply personal—images that reflected not only the beauty of the location but the story of two people who were somehow always meant to find one another.

Kae and Peter’s wedding day showcased everything that makes Baltimore such an incredible destination for couples planning an intimate wedding or courthouse ceremony.
Within a single day, they were able to incorporate:
Each location added a different layer to their story, creating a wedding gallery that feels uniquely theirs.
Whether you’re dreaming of a Baltimore courthouse wedding, a city elopement, or an intimate celebration centered around meaningful experiences, your wedding day should feel like you.
Kae and Peter’s story is proof that sometimes the most beautiful wedding days aren’t the biggest ones. They’re the days spent with the people you love most, in the places that matter most, celebrating a story that was always meant to unfold.
If you’re planning a Baltimore elopement and looking for a photographer who values genuine connection, meaningful moments, and authentic storytelling, I’d love to help tell your story.
